I recently had a wonderful weekend getaway at Johnston Canyon Lodge & Bungalows. The cabins were adorable and comfortable, providing a nice and quiet atmosphere for relaxation. The location right by the Johnston Canyon trail was perfect for the hiking adventure we had planned. The staff were pleasant and accommodating, and the on-site restaurant was lovely. Additionally, the price was very reasonable.
I highly recommend this hotel.

The location near the falls and a great trail to the Ink Pots. The way the cabin was decorated and appointed was excellent. We all loved the separate tub (wonderful tub!) and shower area from the toilet. Excellent stay!!
No complaints.

The location and scenery are beautiful. Having the cabins close to the main attraction (waterfalls) is nice. The old cabins are rustic and fun for the kids.
The double bed was very hard and uncomfortable.

Beautiful location in the heart of the mountains, surrounded by stunning nature. Cozy cabins with comfortable beds, warm lighting, and rustic decor.- Friendly and helpful staff, always willing to assist with any requests or questions.- Excellent hiking trails nearby, with paved paths, handrails, and lookout points for a great hiking experience.
Limited amenities in the cabins, such as a small fridge and cramped bathroom. Parking can be a bit challenging due to narrow roads and limited space near the cabins.

We enjoyed how quiet it was, how it felt like home and we also enjoyed the hike into Johnston falls.

Great location at the start of the trail, beautiful porches with deck chairs, rustic charm in the bungalows. Friendly staff, convenient café with good food, and a nice gift shop. Sophie at the registration desk was awesome - helpful and friendly. Lovely porch to sit on in the cozy cabin. Clean and warm, even in freezing temperatures.

Johnston Canyon itself, which I've seen many times but always like to see againj and the hotel with its old-fashioned facilities which recall my childhood in the 50s (or even earlier for some items).
My friend said the water in the shower was hard to adjust to a comfortable temperature: it was too hot or too cold. (We were in cabin #6.). I couldn't resist getting into that magnificent old bathtub, which reminded me of my grandmother's, so I didn't experience the shower.)

The cabins were so cute and I loved that they were away from the busy town of Banff.
The ovens need to work. I planned my menus based on the pictures of the cabins and I NEEDED the oven.

Friendly and helpful stuff Location
The bed we had this time was very small and the mattress was old and saggy. The water preassure in the shower was poor - a little better than a few dropps....

Quiet, comfortable, beautiful setting
There was no hair dryer, no television, no kitchen in the cabin, no internet service, no breakfast included. These are all fine, as it is a camping type setting, but would have been helpful to know ahead of time.
